Amanda & Pete's Engagement Session | San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer

We've known Amanda since our hiking days with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Hike for Discovery, which is now part of Team in Training.  I'm sure many of you have heard of TNT or have known someone to participate in their many events!

We were pretty excited when Amanda approached us about shooting her wedding.  We'd see her from time to time, but we've never met Pete until recently.  Just watching them talk about their garden to their chickens (yes, they have chickens, and they even have names for all of them!), they make a great match!

Here are a few photos from their engagement session.  Enjoy!

It was very Amanda & Pete to bring their hiking boots along.   Pete brought his boots - a little worn and dirty, but Amanda's was still brand new!  Suspicious!!  Or as Pete would like to say, "poser!"  They are definitely not posers when it comes to hiking - they are super hikers.

Pete had proposed to Amanda by putting on the ring on her finger without her really noticing!  He took her hands in his hands, and she was wondering what he was doing, and BAM, she had an engagement ring on.  Slick!

Gibson Family Session | San Francisco Bay Area Family Photographer

I love it when we're able to do a shoot at the family's home - it's intimate, and definitely let's you in on the family dynamic since they're more comfortable and themselves in a familiar surrounding.  The Gibson family residence is nestled away in the hills of the South Bay Area, and wow, they are blessed to be surrounded by such beauty!  Definitely a break from the busy hustle and bustle of city urban life.

Here a few photos from the Gibson Family's session.  Enjoy!!!

If I had a backyard view like this, I'd be set for life.

I love these next 2 photos - the kids (Brooke, Cole, Amelia, and Annie) were a lot of fun to work with.  Here, you can see Cole with his "I can't believe this is my family" look.  In the 2nd photo, I think we've all been there - mom and dad being affectionate in front of us and the "ewww" that comes out our mouth. lol

Dear Gibson Family - I would like to borrow your backyard for all my outdoor shoots.  Thanks! :)  But seriously, the view was amazing!

Amelia and Annie!  Annie (the youngest one) is quite the spunky one.  You'll see in the later photos, she likes to take photos barefoot. :)

Brooke & Cole!

I think it's an understatement when Marianne and I say, "we LOVE working with teens."  They are all about taking photos and take direction so well.  Brooke actually wanted to take this shot, and I was very happy to oblige.

If anyone that has younger siblings can attest to, it's that your younger siblings always want to do what you do.  Annie is no exception!  After watching Brooke take a few photos in the doorway, she wanted some taken as well....Annie-style!

Amelia was definitely less rambunctious than Annie and not as photo-crazy as Brooke.  She has a quiet calm about her.

Cole is calm, cool, and collected.
